The Department for Education (DfE) published provisional Key Stage (KS) 4 results for 2017/18 in October 2018.
Headline national figures
The table below lists headline figures for all state-funded mainstream schools. This includes:
- Maintained schools
- Academies and free schools
- City technology colleges and further education colleges
- It does not include special schools, alternative provision academies, pupil referral units (PRUs), and hospital schools.

The DfE also publishes this data in performance tables.
Changes from last year
For 2017/18, the DfE replaced the EBacc threshold measure (the percentage of pupils achieving the EBacc) with an average point score.
As a result, there is no previous data to compare the 2017/18 data against.
